First Snow
As November comes, skiers start watching the weather forecast…
Is that arctic blast headed our way? Is it going to come and go or stay? Is it going to bring what we are waiting for, First Snow?
For skiers this year, First Snow has come early and with it temperatures to sustain the snow guns that enable our home ski resorts to make ample amounts of snow that will last any warm days that may come before the grip of winter sets in. This early arctic blast has enabled many resorts across the Midwest and East to open early this year. This means more days of skiing for those of us that love this time sensitive sport. In many cases, our grass is still green but our favorite ski slopes are white, which for many of us is the way that we like it, snow where it is supposed to be.
So, for those of you who are not accustomed to having skiing until after Thanksgiving, you may just want to check out your local hill as they may already be open or very close to it.
Enjoy your First Snow and even more your First Tracks!!!
