We will fly to Denver the morning of Nov. 29th and return the night of Dec. 4th. We will be staying at our own private lodge at the Easter Seals Rocky Mountain Village. This place is FANTASTIC for camp!

During our stay, we will ski each day at Loveland Ski Resort. Racers will be placed into small groups based on skill level. We will have a 4:1 Racer to Coach ratio. Our coaches are all USSA licensed and include some of the best USSA Coaches in the area as well as Top Coaches from our local High Schools.

THIS CAMP IS A GAME CHANGER FOR YOUR RACERS SEASON!

Each day we will work on our skiing mechanics as we free ski with a purpose from 9am to Noon at Loveland Basin. Then we take a one-hour lunch break and move to the Loveland Valley to access the World Famous Ski Club Loveland Training Center. We will train on our private lanes at Ski Club from 1:15pm to 4pm. Ski Club is a favorite training venue for World Cup Skiers from around the world, including Mikaela Shiffrin. Loveland Ski Club consistently offers the best early season training conditions available. We have reserved entire runs for our racers. This will allow us an incredibly safe and productive training venue.

!!! Only athletes and coaches are allowed on the Ski Club training runs !!!

We have done the math. The training and coaching time your racer will get on this trip will be more than they will get during a typical entire High School season. PLUS, each year we have gotten to watch World Cup Teams training just above or below our lanes. We have met and watched members of the U.S., French, German, Austrian and Swiss Ski Teams. Very Cool for racers and coaches alike!

We will be staying at Easter Seals Rocky Mountain Village. We have our own Lodge which sleeps 50. Rooms sleep 4 – 8 racers. We have our own living room, dining room, and kitchen with meals prepared by the Rocky Mountain Village staff and served in the Village dining room. The staff includes a dietitian who can accommodate special diet needs. The food is home style, delicious and nutritious.

WHO IS CAMP FOR? (Important Please Read )

Team XLR8’s Epic Fall Camp is for High School Racers and younger. Due to the terrain, advanced skiing skills are required. We generally have approximately 55% High School Racers and 45% younger racers. All racers who are accepted to XLR8’s Epic Fall Camp will be responsible for their own belongings and equipment (i.e. keeping track of, loading / unloading and maintaining). Our athletes will be expected to conduct themselves as young men and woman, be respectful to all people we interact with, to follow the rules of race camp, to be on time for all camp activities and to lend a hand in all activities as a team member.

It is common for mature racers as young as 9 and 10 years old to attend race camp. Many times, parents are amazed by the personal growth that can occur given a little independence within this very structured setting. That said, XLR8’s Epic Fall Camp is for racers who have reached a level of maturity that allows them to be relatively self-sufficient under non-emergency situations. Children who are not capable and/or willing to take care of their responsibilities, take away from the overall experience of the group and can potentially endanger other team members. If a coach must help a child with their basic responsibilities, that coach will be unable to give the appropriate attention to the other three racers in his or her charge. If you believe your young racer can independently live up to these responsibilities; they are a good candidate for XLR8’s Epic Fall Camp.

Coaches will be on hand 24 hours a day, looking out for the safety and well being of every young person in our care. Your child’s safety is our primary concern. We cannot begin to tell you how seriously we take this responsibility. All racers will be issued Camp ID cards to be carried with them at all times. When we are not skiing in race lanes, we will be working on our mechanics and focused on race training. There will be no tree skiing, free jumping or terrain parks. Our racers will be with their coaches constantly when we are on the mountain or traveling.

When we are training at the Loveland Ski Club Training Center, we will be in the middle of a professional, world class training venue for ski racers and coaches only. We will have one coach for every four athletes
to insure a safe, fun and productive experience of a life time!

COST is $1,950.00 for the 6 days including all transportation in Colorado, lodging, meals, coaching, lane fees and lift tickets.
<<< Airfare is additional. >>>
